The 125 Bikers Club Summer Christmas Party 2008

Welcome to the 125 Bikers Club Summer Christmas Party 2008.

So what is this all about then? Well firstly the 125 Bikers Club was set up in 2005 to cater for the guys and girls on the lower cc bikes and those still on L plates that for a long time were shunned by many bigger bike club and owners clubs.

The whole idea was for people to just get together and have fun, talk about bikes and meet up for rideouts, rallys and partys. As the club became more popular and started to get press coverage it lost its original appeal of being generally for 50-125cc bikers.

We have always had the no bullshit approach, no politics and just generally a fun place to be. In the middle of 2007 we made an attempt at a rally for the club. Due to a lot of problems from people who didnt have the same interests in the club as those on 125cc bikes, the rally went ahead but was not a total sucsess (although we still got to see Robert Plant's sons band play and they were awesome!).

As we started to approach the latter end of the year we then had an attack on the website which was seeing approx 2 million hits a month and over 100 new members per month. The site was hacked and everything was lost. We finally got things going again but with that we had lost a fair few members.

In the peak of 2007 we had over 1500 members nationwide. As of the start of 2008 with having to re-register and all the loss of data we have now had over 750 members return. We plan on building on the past 2 years and make 2008 an even more sucessful club for 50-125cc bikers.

The original Christmas Party

In the summer of 2007 Paul Amis aka Huggie Monster decided to set up a Christmas party in Oldham for all the 125 Bikers Club members which was also a celebration of a 2nd year anniversary of the club.

He also wanted to raise money for Christies Hospital in Manchester as he had been in and out of there a lot over the few months leading up to the summer. Huggie was suffering from cancer and Christies hospital was like a second home to him so he wanted to do something back for them.
